Email apologies
If you’ve emailed me and either gotten bounced or no reply, I’m sorry. My web host is Interland and they’re terrible. For the second time in three weeks I’ve lost email access, so now I’m switching hosts. I’ve heard pair.com is a good web host and that weblogs in Movable Type can be difficult to migrate. If you have have input on either, leave a comment or drop me an email (address in the sidebar). Thanks.
Update: I’ve switched web hosts, everything should be fine now.

Pair.com doesn’t really give you any site stats, which can be nice to have. I’ve used Thinkhost for years, who have been very good and very cheap, but recently were badly shaken by the sobig.f virus–many periods of outage. Sometimes speed can be an issue as well. I’ve been happy enough with them that I’m giving them another chance.
Dreamhost is popular, as is Media Temple. Both do MT no problem.
When you move your MT install, be sure to read http://www.russcam.com/temp/MovingMT2.pdf that pdf, good instructions for the process.

I’ve been with pair.com for over 7 years and have always been happy with their service. They consistent upgrade the plans without increasing cost. Support is quick and excellent.
